@GG, Indeed. We should also ask just how much in volumes does that particular station push as a percentage of total KK sales? And I bet most of the damage plus loss of sales would be covered by Insurance not so?

I will not engage in this petty issue, how can one remote station affect a regional empire? "Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."

The insurer will reinstate KK station to the same financial position it was before the loss occured. This is a simple insurance rule ! Wazuans, please get your pessimism out of this site. How can you relate the razing down of one gas station(most probably accounting for atmost 2% volume sales annually) to tumbling of a companies share price. Get busy, lest you are another breed of activist who utter any a long as is bad (an mostly useless), nothing good. Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you.” ― Rashi

Get busy, lest you are another breed of activist who utter any a long as is bad (an mostly useless), nothing good. KK has about 160 gas stations in Kenya and about 420 stations in total (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi and Zambia). As such, the Kitengela station should contribute less than 0.24% of the turnover. Am certain its fully insured and should be back in operations in no time. Happy hunting

More details: The station was being relocated (due to expansion of the road) & was only selling gas (LPG) cylinders. The loss is limited to damaged premises, some cylinders & one vehicle. The station was 'closed' but being renovated to a non-fuel business since it was not viable as a fuel station after the expansion of the road. [I suspect some of the land/area was acquired for the expansion so the fuel court would be too small] Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett
