Would anyone kindly break-down for me what the money-market is all about? And what are the risk, losses and gains of investing the money-market?

it is a fund for non risk takers,when u put your funds in mmf the investment co invests the funds in short term instruments e.g t-bills e.t.c then they distribute the returns to their clients.it's a better option than fixed deposits as u can withdraw your money anytime and u can never loose your principal investment amount.
