Hi

I'd like to open an account.

However, I may run into problems during the verification stage because Kenya has no residential postal delivery service. Post goes to PO Boxes.

I've read that Moneybookers send a letter containing a 6 digit code to the residential address provided. Is there an option to fill in the residential address when signing up, and then request that they send the letter to my PO Box address? Can they deliver via international courier like DHL / UPS ( I'd have to give the courier directions ) ?

Issue #2
Credit/debit card verification. "Any bank account or credit/debit card used with your account must be in exactly the same name as provided here." The Moneybookers form only has two name fields, First and Last. My cards all have my middle names included. Do they mean that the First and Last names must match, and ignore middle names? Or do I have to open a bank account and inform them that I only want my First and Last name to appear on any cards issued?

What are your experiences?

I will not pretend to know but let me guess. What if you put your First and middle names in the space provided for first name?

@Gordon Gekko. I've read about some people doing just that.

@Genghis Khan. There is an article that goes into some detail about the signup and verification process for India:

According to that article, the address verification is a two step process. At some point, they may demand a utility bill with my name on it. If I were to use an office address for part 1, it is likely that I would become unstuck at part 2.

@KenMan don`t you worry. I have a merchant account with them and that residential address bit did not come up during my verification.

All they needed from me were, as they requested:

Quote:
1. Your colored copy photo ID e.g. Passport - back and front side
2. Address Verification (Business Bank Account Statement preferred or recent utility bill), the one provided is not clear and we can't read it

Gave them a copy of my ID and bank statement and that was that. On the cards verification my three names was never an issue. They only verified using the random amount they debited my account with.

to know the amount of money deducted from your card ( during verification purposes)call the banks CARD CENTER.I mean the card center for the bank that issued you with the credit/debit card DONOT call their customer care department coz they WILLNOT help much.
and ask them to give you the amount deducted from your a/c in USD. Then use that to verify your a/c
