Checked the live trade at mystocks and they have it a 15 shillings per share. Are there bad news about the bank that I may not be aware of?

Almost all counters are headed south, not just Co-op bank.

allow me to judge you. you own a good chunk of co-op bank shares and you have been absent from the bourse for some time. take a look at other counters e.g Total or CFCI and you ralise your counter has not received a beating.

This share is really on a free fall is it panic or some drastic change in fundamentals.

It was the only share on the green in my watchlist.

Any share that has many 'IPO retail investors' will get a beating coz of the high inflation. Some people are actually simply jumping out so that they can get enough money to survive. Monthly expenditure for most households has doubled & i expect a further drop in these kind of shares unless the govt comes up with some good practical solutions for the kawaida Kenyans coz some of them are the ones driving the sales & by kawaida i don't mean the Mama mbogas but the middle class who are having less & less cash to invest due to high expenditure.

Hey, its time to invest in the future! Buy in 5 stocks now, and your kids will never go hungry in future. i.e. starting from 2 years to come!

The following can make a good select;
i. Total Kenya at 23.00 or lower, (Why? KK is just like Airtel, it will not go anywhere)
ii. E.A Cables at 12.20 or lower, (Why? a dividend of 0.8 will drive this stock to 20.0 next FY)
iii. Safaricom at 3.90 or lower, (Why? Corporate Internet is booming with safcons)
iv. Jubilee Insurance at 180.0 or lower, (Why? A split is inevitable)
v. Kengen at 12.80 or lower, (Why? Monopolies, which business man hates it?)
vi. Barclays Bank at 16.80 or lower (Why? I DON'T KNOW!)

Stock not to touch at all, lest you want to starve!;
i. Express
ii. Olympia
iii. Eveready
iv. B.A.T
v. E.A.B.L
vi. ALL AGRICULTURE STOCKS!

Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you.” ― Rashi

@Dunkang. Total and E.A. Cables would not exactly be my picks. They have been experiencing plenty of headwinds.

Safaricom is not too bad but I do not expect any big gains going into the future. For speculation YES. KenGen is oversold, so I could buy it for a 20% gain or so if and when the market turns. But clearly, KenGen's investment case has worsened over time.

BBK is fine but like Safaricom, I would not expect much in the way of gains in the long term. Note, it is still trading close to its highs (adjusted for the split), and its not really been growing profits at the expected pace. All the same the market loves it.

JUBILEE is worth buying, but if the market continues to fall, even Jub will also drop some.

I am actually more inclined to the likes of CoopBank (Oh yes!) and KK just to mention 2. These have grown their profits steadily over the years and in the case of Coop, It has been beaten down heavily.

I do not expect Coop to report on 15th. Note the same site indicates that Equity IS EXPECTED TO report their Q2 results on July 13, while KCB will report on July 15th. These are just educated guesses!
