Kibaki for life!! A few more years of Kalenjin Chukua Bure would have made all that history a lot more useless.

That was a brilliant tête-à-tête brother. We should do it again sometime. As I've said here before, both of these companies are brilliant investments. Let's not turn this thread into one of those Safcom threads where irrationality is the order

If KCB has those Zillion Assets why are they not competing with Safcon for the most profitable company in Kenya, as it is now KCB PBT is not even equal to Safcon's PAT...ama those assets are fictitious or denominated in Zim DollarsLaughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Yes, coz Mr. Market is being distracted by interest rate hikes and a bullish inflation period. Therefore he can't see profits or strong performance at this time. In the meantime the buyers have Mr. Market's ear...

Kcb seems to have found a base, at 23.00. I have been buying! Equity touched 24.00, on friday, i am buying. And i will be buying. I'm glad my money has found a new home, i was worried of not finding entry points. Enjoy.

Seen Loan books of 4 banks, all listed & truthfully the deliquent, default & written off accounts of the 4 when compared on recovery, Equity comes up tops. EBL is the bank to watch coz on their core lending biz & innovation they are spot on!

Hey folks.

I have gone back to KCB’s PBT growth momentum
for FY2010 over FY2009 - and it bloomed as follows.

Q1 – +10%
Q2 – +16%
Q3 - +23%
FY - +56% (2009:6.3B, 2010:9.8B)

Beautiful..

Thus, presuming that the same PBT growth trend can be
replicated in FY2011, especially now that all subsidiaries
are turning profitable, then come the full year 2011 this
bank will yet again record wonderful profits. (Subsidiaries
contributed a 2B loss to the group last year).

NB:KCB has kicked off 2011 with Q1 growth of 33% compared to and above Q1 2010's 10% growth.

It was a great year for kcb. They suprised me. What is very exciting is that betweed kcb and equity, one of them may get the crown of the most profitable bank in kenya!!! I cant tell who it will be, it will be so close. Meanwhile. Equity going for 23.75!
