Cde, where did this rant come from? I've never 'seen/'heard' you being this emotional. Equity was/is/will continue to be a great investment. And you know it! GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

Comrade Cde, what are you trying to tell Wazuans? That KCB will make more than Equity by the end of this year, ama even the next? I know that unlike some people (I ain't saying no names, but ask VVS) you would honour your bets. Care for a wager? GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

U see a problem lies on Wazua that everytime that KCB is discussed, EBL pops its head. If we separate the two there won't be need for all the X-fire. OTW, me as the de-facto head promoter of KCB, I will gladly use my legal skills to appraise KCB and where needed retaliate at shots from opposition & poke holes @ their positions.

Could I be wrong for suspecting this as the reason for the big-boy exodus recently? Better still I remember in 08/09 KCB couldn't grow its Balance Sheet (hence profits) due to weak statutory levels. Probably why EBL is now cautious @ lending. The Helios capital injection of 06/07 could be maxed.

With KCB's recent 40B+ in capital means we can grow our Balance Sheet to 400B (10X capital) from the current 200B*. Investors in banks have to remember that regardless of all the oppurtunities out there...ur statutory ratios have to be in compliance with CBK rules 1st. "This is not a fish market, right!!" LOL, tafakari.

If time is money, KCB should be making tens and tens of billions in profit as they have been around for a long long long time "The history of KCB dates back to 1896 when its predecessor, the National Bank of India opened an outlet in Mombasa. Eight years later in 1904, the Bank extended its operations to Nairobi, which had become the Headquarters of the expanding railway line to Uganda.
The next major change in the Bank’s history came in 1958. Grindlays Bank merged with the National Bank of India to form the National and Grindlays Bank.
Upon independence the Government of Kenya acquired 60% shareholding in National & Grindlays Bank in an effort to bring banking closer to the majority of Kenyans. In 1970, the Government acquired 100% of the shares to take full control of the largest commercial bank in Kenya. National and Grindlays Bank was renamed Kenya Commercial Bank."Just what the hell have they been doing all these years? Equity zoomed past them in no time. GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE
