Its all an exit strategy! How do they exit without selling the shares they own? Remember, the issuer is BRITAK, not one of the existing shareholders. All the proceeds will go to the company. Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

If all the shares are taken EPS =1.26 DPS =0.09 PE = 6.9 While the proceeds will be invested as follows amounts in MN Regional expansion 1,000 Kenyan market 1,280 Property development 2,500 Redemption of debt 750 Expenses of the Offer 320 Total 5,850 The principal shareholders are not allowed to offload their shares until 2yrs are up. http://mobile.businessda...1/-/33xt1o/-/index.html
So this means 650MN shares out 2.15B shares will be active in the stock exchange for the next two yrs. I think the possibility of the share price rising are quite High in these two yrs,but long term it will be tricky, and the reason for the rising will most obviously be because of speculation since 2010 seems the best yrs ever for the company. On PE it seem fair at around 7 E&OE '......to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.' @SAC very poor if you are to factor in the share split. Check the prospectus http://www.slideshare.ne...ged-prospectusv9-8519276'......to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.' Colossians 2:2-3

This will sound very wanjiku like, but there's no other way to say it. CFCIH baffles us all and continues to due to is share price. I dont thikn britak will be an exception. But purely speculation The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Did I hear right that there will be a high minimum number of shares set even for individual investors? What is it and is the intention to lock out the Wanjikus? Secondly can someone confirm if brokers now have these prospectors in their offices, they didn't have them last week. BBI will solve it :)

What is it and is the intention to lock out the Wanjikus? NO, THEY REALLY NEED THE WANJIKUS AS THEY CANNOT BE SURE THAT THE BIG FISH WILL BITE!
Secondly can someone confirm if brokers now have these prospectors in their offices, they didn't have them last week.YES THEY HAVE THEM.

Was this your final word on the BA IPO? Deal or No Deal? the deal wrote:I saw the company from an insider perspective although my research on them is correct in many aspects...i must admit its too critical and it seems they are willing to address some of the concerns raised on the blog..i.e Britak is the no1 ordinary life insurer...they have reduced their exposure to Equity which to me was long overdue due to the market risk associated with that stake @mainat..they have prime land banks in upper hill...lavington...they recently finished a development...also its wrong to compare them to Jub because Jub is a composite insurer...the CEO also said the lack of diversification was because of being a private company and their using IPO funds to address that...so for long term you cant go wrong.
