It is good you are comparing two courses ofered by the same university. Go get the course outlines running for the four years and compare with what you picture yourself to be after that trainning. That will help you a great deal, coz there is nothing like a good course, it all depends with what you want.

Career advice should NEVER be about WHICH course to take. It should be about HOW TO CHOOSE a course.

And I have always maintained that that people should be guided by their personal interest. That is, which career do you find interesting?

Ask yourself that question and your answer will be obvious.

BTW: At the time I was selecting university courses, we were generally advised NOT to take any course that has computer science in it! reason being that there were no jobs for computer experts in Kenya - there were only two computers in the country and these had operators, "So, what job will you do with your computer expertise?", the career teachers would ask!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Computer Technology: Leans towards hardware and engineering (circuitry, power, components, networking).
Information Technology: Leans towards business/information expertise with regards to systems, light computer programming
Computer Science: Has a fair quantity of both, plus a lot of math (boolean algebra, linear algebra, simulation & modelling, calculus, statistics, operations research), science (automata theory, machine learning, artificial intelligence, physics, electronic theory) and more intense computer programming. When we were in school, the first 2 options were not available ..I hope that helps, choose wiselt

In addition to all the above input, do you want to be employed by others or by yourself? That should give you bearing as well.

I did Computer Technology from same Campus and I have 0 hardware skills! However, I am doing well in my line of duty. I guess it boils down to your interests. Computer Technology is good when combined with CCNA, that is if you intend to go the Networking way.

Kibs,
Have you considered computer science in ICSIT, JKUAT? Keep away from this if you don't like mathematics and lots of it.

If you only have the two choices then go for Computer Technology called CT offered at ICSIT. Note that the kind of students in a class have a great influence on the development of your skill set. CT has this mix.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly I agree, chemistry is taught in the first sem, first year but its not considered in the final grade! How I treated it with contempt, plus communication skills and HIV.
