I was just wondering, how much are they wasting on the so called rebranding?

We had a blackout since Saturday. And no answer to the emergency lines.... They should have spent money on new equipment.. Not a new logo which means nothing!

I wonder, how much would it cost them to sort out the CAUSE of the blackouts in the rainy season? How does this compare with the cost of frequent blackouts and minor fixes? This is the height of incompetence!

Black out on and off all over the weekend. Didn`t even consider calling them. Never bother calling them when I have blackouts. Rather use that money on candles.

Bad KPLC Weekeend that was, and the Lightnings yesterday evening didn't make it any better.

But what do you guys believe is the KPLC's point of failure, distribution? or we just don't have enough electricity to distribute? i believe this is the case with TZ with their 16 hour rationing schedules.

What's the electricity situation is say UG?

Here's why there's no elec and there's nothing we can do about it. KPLC rebranded and they are now Kenya Power (KP), got rid of the (L) hence no lights but they retained the Power (P) meaning they can do whatever they want whenever they want and you can do jack about it. Oh and they removed the Company (C) and that's why your calls will either not be answered or you'll find they're off the hook so if you have any queries you you can shove them where the sun don't shine.

So, there you have it. Welcome to mwangaza mpya smile

And the worst news is you can be disconnected for 29/-; if their bill is delayed and you estimate your bill, and say your bill is slightly higher, you'd be disconnected asap. I am told they have a sw that works out the diffence between amount billed and the amount paid. If the difference is negative, you end up in the disconnection list!

Just the other day they launched a campaign (remember) something to do with improving their sevices in order to serve u better. How did it go... well, it's as what they say (Americans)... the jury is still out there!!!

In other news, the company has decided to shelf their plan to hike power tarrifs... cited high inflation being endured by their customers as the reason for doing so!!!

And as expected, elec has gone for the night. Just like the roads the gova should just get the Chinese to sort out this power mess. I'm sure they can do something because we can't continue this way. Nkt! Let me know what happens on Churchill Live from those with solar and kerosene TVs. Ati Kenya yasonga mbele? Nkt!!!
