Swift transfers

someone kindly assist me. i am looking forward to import a nissan wingroad and am contemplating using swift to transfer the money any word of advice. its my first time

The best way according to me is to use consolidated bank of kenya because they allow you to bring your dollars that you have bought from forex bureaus then they only charge you around ksh 1500/ for sending. I've done this five times at the koinange branch in nairobi. First inquire from them because i last did this in early feb. Their phone numbers are on their website

good one @jimmy1, saves on the exorbitant rate the banks offer on the dollar, in addition to the actual cost of the swift....thanks...

a difference of 2 bob on the dollar can save u upto 7 - 20k!!!!

thanks jimmie i think this beats all other rates or money remittances but is it dependent that you deposit ksh and the bank converts to USD?

I usually go to Oriental commercial bank on Koinange street i guess in Chester house and they usually give me good rates and also give me the tt confirmation same day. Just walk in and say you would like to talk to Joseph he is the treasury manager negotiate with him and then he'll guide you with the rest.
