EAPCC is in huge trouble. The chairman complains about 'unsustainable' pricing [reminds me of Safaricom]...
[BTW, even KQ has dropped airfares]

I like what is happening... Now we need more competitors for farmers/food, houses, cars, etc...

I find it very confusing to find Bamburi cement being used @ a GoK project.

Kuweni Serious! All cement is not equal! Bamburi produces 'special cement' orders for specific projects i.e. the needs for a Dam or Road or Bridge are different. It would not surprise me if EAPCC did not have the expertise or technology for such orders.

Bamburi cement is supwrior to th othrs although when you check the cometitors thay all have a common shareholder, LAFARGE. This is a strategy to secure the risk in this competitive world.

I think this trend will hit all sectors. With castle brewing in the mix beer will come down, sugar prices will tumble come next year, Bank profits will come down too with entry of HSBC and other banks and I still can't wait for those big, rich Chinese banks to start opening banklets here.

BBI will solve it

NB: HSBC has only been allowed to open a representative office. It doesn't have a full banking licence. It is somewhere on the CBK website.

Most definitely. I see their role being to arrange foriegn debt & capital deals via our local financial instituitions especially when we make NIFC.

Portland share price is also speaking loud. It keeps recording new lows and often has no buyers. Its surely a company in trouble.
