We refer to the Assistant Accountant Job and we are happy to inform you that we have put your request into consideration and that we will be willing to offer you a job on the same on a probationary condition and subject to our employment policies as per the Assistant Accountant position applied for. As stated, the offer starts as a two months’ probation period with the posting being in Nairobi but will include traveling/re-posting to the project areas, which may be on short notice.
Your letter of appointment shall be availed to you on acceptance of this initial offer and having agreed to the terms and conditions that pertain to the WRC employee recruitment policies as per the policy document.
There is however a condition on which you will be allowed to sign for the contract and be remunerated with your salary, which is that you must have sat for and passed the exams for the Certificate in International Financial Reporting (CertIFR) as its principles form the basis of our financial systems and of which you will be using from time to time. It is therefore in your interest to let us have the same certificate prior to you signing the appointment letter. Alternatively, you will be allowed to take up the Assistant Accountant Job subject to an assurance that the same shall be attained through a skill up program within the probation period. The payment for the same shall be catered for by the organization through its corporate training partnership. You shall however be required to pay a total of Kshs. 1000 towards your registration; the remaining amount shall be paid by the organization. Also take note that your tuition documents shall remain in the custody of your assigned immediate manager during the skill-up as this shall be used during the review process
Kindly take note that your skill-up ours shall be over and above your normal working hours but shall not be considered extra hours and as such shall not attract any allowance.
Specific terms and Conditions for Assistant AccountantYou shall be given a 1 month period to finalize on your current employment if any and prepare for taking up the job with WRC. During this time, you will be required to attend evening tutorial sessions to orient you on the WRC service policies and to enable you review your decision to join WRC. The session shall be conducted at the satellite stations to be communicated to you.Your contract shall be effective from 1st July, following the first month’s review and be for a period of a year, renewable upon success after the end of year review.Your basic salary shall be Kshs. 45000Your increase in basic salary shall be on a six months basis subject to satisfactory completion of your agreed skill-up plan, which shall be given to you upon signing the contract document.You will be expected to perform your duties commencing at any time between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday subject to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Your manager shall communicate to you from time to time the actual hours and the location that you are supposed to work.You will carry out the job assigned to you and be responsible for the equipment assigned along with the same as assigned by your manager.You will be designated as Assistant Accountant. This designation may be changed at the discretion of the organization and upon a report from your immediate manager.For any overtime work scheduled for you over and above your job, you shall be entitled to additional working allowances at the rates specified by the organization’s pay schemes. You will require approval for the overtime work from your manager.You may be expected to travel in the East African region and across the project areas as part of your job. At all times, this will require that you have all your travel documents ready and are available and willing to travel when called upon to do so.The organization will effect a Personal Accident cover in Kenya (Or within the project areas should you be posted out of the country), in respect of yourself for the benefit of your nominated beneficiaries upon signing the contract, as follows:Death Kshs. 500000Permanent Disability Kshs. 500000Any other benefits as stipulated in the organizations policies. We would like you to confirm the acceptance of the above initial offer by a reply to this mail before Wednesday, 8th July, 2011.

for sure i support you totally the job offer is legitimate i work there also and they catered for everything at first currently i can depend on my own dont be a pessimist always.
