I am in pearl of Africa for a one week business and holidays trip.

From all indications this is the wrong time to visit Uganda because of the current walk to work demos that reached crescendo last week. Things tend to work in my favour because the tempo of the demos have reduced.

Against all odds I have booked flight/accomodation and have scheduled appointments with AA Uganda and also the real estate firm Akright projects the developers of entebbe-kampala road Kakungulu satelite city.

I am a strong believer of a long term bright future for Uganda and this is the right time to position as a long termer. This is my second trip
to Kampala.

My wife Evy aske me on arrival hall of the tiny well kept Entebbe airport, why are people trouping into Uganda upon the security risk ?
She was expecting a very low volume of people on arrival.

My answer is a lot of people are looking beyond the current dictatorship.

I hope to return to Nigeria in peace not in pieces in a weeks time from the pearl of africa.

nkt!!!!!!!!!!!!

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

@FancyFace

Do you have a problem with what Young is letting us know or what is the nkt all about. Young is one excellent wazuan and when he lets us know where he is, we are grand to know as he enlightens us.

@Young

If you will pass Nairobi on your way to Lagos or Kaduna, I will be happy to accommodate you for a night or two here in Nairobi. Just let me know.

My next mission is to head to Kampala also before year end and purchase land next to where Centum bought some 400 (or was it 1000) acres. Soon, and very soon, Kampala will go the Nairobi way in development. They will replicate Thika Rd between Entebbe and Kampala or something like that.

"My answer is a lot of people are looking beyond the current dictatorship."

Typical pan africanism.

The bedrock upon which a lethargic AU slumbers.

a lot of people are looking beyond current African despots... Of course they would! It suits them fine!

There is some piece of land our guy is selling in the heart of industrial area in kampala, touching the main highway.... At a throw away price.... an acre for around Kshs 5 million equivalent! Imagine! And you can negotiate - downwards of course.... But one has to get the whole piece(or organise as a group and get the whole piece).... 9.7acres. Anyone who knows the area will confirm it is one great deal if one had the cash. It should have been in the dailies either late last week or this week.

@Wendz

Lovely lady, thanks for the tip. I hardly get access to hard copies of the Kenyan dailies but this one is a kibarua I have to do.

By the way, how did you know it is at a throw away price?

In Kenya, they say, "Am selling to settle a hospital bill", or "if you buy here, you will be lucky as an Airport is coming up right next to the land, actually, the tarmack road should be constructed by the end of the year".

hehehehehehehe... you are right, it is the real kenyan style. Well, this one, i know the map and the location so there is nothing like "the road will be built" bla bla.

it will be on ugandan dailies and The East African. I know the price because i know the reason it is on sale.
