Albeit of average intellect, I, the aforementioned individual, being too lazy to read the constitution and all the legalese contained therein, hereinafter asks:

i) Can a Kenyan citizen acquire Ugandan citizenship if the Ugandan constitution does not (yet) allow dual citizenship?

ii) Would the aforementioned Kenyan have to conceal, or by any other manner not heretofore mention, not disclose his citizenship to Uganda?

iii)) Would acquiring Ugandan citizenship compel him/her/his servants/agents/dogs and other parties affiliated or allied or married to him/her/it, to renounce their Kenyan citizenship?

iv)Should one renounce Kenyan citizenship in order to meet requirements to acquire Ugandan citizenship, thereafter, in an appropriate manner, and in accordance to the laws of the land, be eligible to re-acquire Kenyan citizenship?

Any legal eagle or entity with requisite knowledge, or purporting to have the aforesaid knowledge, please advise.

Cheers!

You would have to examine what the Ugandan Constitution and relevant immigration laws there say about dual citizenship. Unless there is any Wazuans with knowledge of those laws, you might not be lucky here.

@Djinn; the Kenyan constitution is written in simple ordinary English. It is actually quite a joy to read... I read all the drafts from start to end!

This is what it says about dual citizenship:

Article 16:
"A citizen by birth does not lose citizenship by acquiring the citizenship of another country."

So your problem would be with the Ugandan law, not the Kenyan one - assuming that you are Kenyan by birth.
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Djinn-why is exactly would do you need Ugandan citizenship if you are Kenyan? Now that we are part of the EAC block, citizenship is not a barrier unless you count our backward ndugus huko TZ.

@mukiha I have always found that Article very interesting and misrepresented. On its face it only allows a Kenyan by birth the right to other citizenship but appears not to allow a non-Kenyan to become a Kenyan citizen without first denouncing his/her citizenship.
