Pan Africa realizes XX billion from sale of 39.9% of APA

The figures are looking very good. Sale has been completed.

Anyone with information on how many shares APA has and I will calculate the exact figure paid to Pan Africa.

Lol Allegator you never change...how did you come up with the Billions if u dont know the selling price and number shares they held in APA.

APA has 5 million shares

40% of that is 2million shares

2 million times.... ope you get the gist.

APA Insurance recorded an impressive growth in its end of year results.

Profit before tax stood at Shs 2.883 million up from Shs 238.4 million posted in 2009.

Total assets stood at Shs 7.3 billion, a Shs 1.6 billion increase from Shs 5.6 billion recorded the previous year.

Total claims settled at Shs 2.441 billion, up from Shs 1.954 billion in 2009.

Total income was Shs 4,195,037 up from Shs 3,182,446 in 2009.

Profits for the year was Shs 235,827,000 up from Shs 175,000,000 the previous year.

Earnings per share were Shs 47.17 up from Shs 35 in 2009.

Proposed first and final dividend was Shs 4.20.

What price would you give to a share that has an EPS of 47.17?

If leapfrog paid 1.15billion for a minority shareholding in APA this year, how much would APA pay Pan Africa for a trade in 39.9%. Are we still together or I have lost you?

Hehehe best way to look at it is divide the no of shares leap frog got into the Sh 1.15 B then you will get their purchase price...also good to look at APA net average value.

Liar Liar Liar I haven't checked the papers lakini is it 2.883 BILLION? Also how much of it is 'asset' gains vs underwriting profit [i.e. sustainable]

BUT... overall, PAI should see a healthy gain in PAT.
