I have always had alot of trust with Kijabe.... dint know they also make such blunders! Today i woke up not knowing where to start, now i have: God(@mnjoro..mmmmmha!), wazuans and 1. Prof P. Jumba - Aga Khan 7. Kijabe Hospital - @famooz, which doc was that? Even if i (say) may not use him someone else may be digging for this info sometime in the future. Just let us know. whoever thinks Wazuzus are not family doesn't know what a "family" really is. Thanks all you guys and God bless and if you have some more, please add on to the list. I will start some background check. @BS from my list, if it were you in need of these services, who would you pick? @Wendz..All the best during the surgery and quick recovery thereafter... Out of curiosity, why did you leave Dr.number 5 in your list out...is there any negative professional stories about the daktari that you may share with the rest of the wazuan.. Pole Wendz. As a medic, I can verify you have a list of the top surgeons in town who should be able to sort you out. All I ask is that you commit the entire team to prayer before the surgery, coz even in the best of hands things rarely can go wrong. Remember, doctors treat but only GOD heals. My prayers are with you... "When the pupil is ready to learn, a teacher will appear." -- Zen proverb

I dint even know him before this thread. Just that i was spoilt for choice and the mention that he does mostly breast surgery so i was like, well, i need just one anyway and i have many to choose from. Even from the two i'd said are in my list, i can only choose one and most probably the one left out will not be because of previous malpractice. Most probably if they'd said Dr. Yusuf does mostly feet surgery i'd have left him out too... just elimination based on the very limited info given here.

@Wendz, Remember to consider also the level and quality of nursing care that you will receive from the hospital that you will have the operation from. The nurses will: 1. Take you through the Pre-OP preparations (shave you clean, administer an enema to clean your bowel, place venous access, reassure you and comfort you, dress you in a gown of the right size etc); 2. Care for you in the Intra-OP theater room (place you on the table, drape you decently, hand the surgeon the right knife and the right suture, count the gauzes and scissors prior to closing to make sure NONE are left behind, roll you out of theater etc); and, 3. Be with you in the Post-OP period as you recuperate (keep you pain free, change the dressing, arrange the bed pan, make sure your water is the right temperature for your daily bed bath, feed you, remind you that you have to take the small yellow capsule that tastes like tree bark etc). Never forget to evaluate the nursing care prior to a surgical procedure. You will spend close to 99% of your hospital stay with the nurses. Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.
