The best business for you is doing what you already know or like. You may also consider solving an immediate problem that you have noted in your daily life. Think also being an angel investor and target some fresh IT graduates. I believe the capital involved in not huge. Skills are much needed and is available in Kenya. My recommendation, a graphic design start up.

Very well said @richdad & @Craig

It's best to go into a business one has passion for, a market one is well informed about and an area you know the joys and flaws all too well. Find out what in your life/environment answers questions asked above and then plunge into it..kidogo kidogo tu,and watch yourself grow from the hard work of your hands and the smart moves from your God given brains.

Become a newspaper vendor; you will need almost all of the 100k as deposit with DN and STD. Once established, get into taxi business like this guy: http://www.wazua.co.ke/f....aspx?g=posts&t=8854

Hello,

I am selling an internet business that in the last 12 months has had a net profit of a bit over $52,000. It is currently in a public auction, and all the proof of revenue, traffic, etc is all available. If you want to get into something like this, let me know... and I will give you more details. Otherwise, I hope you find what you might be looking for. Take care.

$52,000 net profit! Why are you selling in the first place? Is your product proprietory? Last 3 years profits? Yearly growth? Core market? And of course traffic?

there seems to be a new thing in the market called "new electrical thermostat Incubator"

Coincidentally, there is a whole new discussion about some new kienyeji chicken in the market. Have just seen a live demo of a set up. Several of the incubators running, one month after hatching, the guys are making Ksh300/- per chick (of the new breed kuku) - great idea
