Barclays Rights Issue in the Offing?

Just read somewhere analysts analysing Barclays Share split. There are high indication that the rights issue is in the offing. Commercial banks (read JM's, KCB) in the recent past have been splitting their shares & later on floating a rights issue. Does that mean BBK share split is a sign of things to come. Should Wazuan be on the look out for the rights issue opportunity and wait for the train to roll in?

@the deal. What do think of the split, according to you and the trend following the splits of most companies is there a likelihood of rights issue? Is there a pattern? I don't have the fundamentals.
