I wish to know while in Kenya only for three weeks which is the best internet service provider.how about the black berry rates ,please someone help a sister

@Gesowan, feel welcome to Kenya when/if you arrive. I would recommend a phone of ur choice that can catch! internet and an Airtel line. Or do u want to connect to a comp? It'll also depend on where u'll be staying.

@veteran thanks a million,will get the Blackberry deal hoping they will allow me to use my own,however i may wish to get connected to my laptop,thanks alot

Halo @ gesowan. the blackberry safcom deal is good. But you have to buy a blackberry thats locked to safcon network for you to enjoy the deal.But here's the good thing about it.If you buy a blackberry that has 3g you can tether ( thatis connect the blackberry to your pc) and enjoy 3g speeds on your laptop or computer for only Ksh 999.00 .since the blackberry will now be acting like a modem.
You can also try orange 3G internet.speeds are good for casual browsing.speeds are as fast as 30KB/s.it used to be over 200 KB/s but guys have really jumped into the network and speeds have been low.Have a look here : http://www.telkom.co.ke/

the two deals might be good for you since you aint staying long..

Im doing 1 milisecond between my laptop and the KDN DNs Servers!!!!!!!

This is internet heaven!!

Installation Cost. 5000/-

Router: i had a router: 0/-

Monthly charge: 6000/- inclusive

I subscribed for a 1mbps link.

6000/- is expensive...after the introduction of fibre optic internet should be very cheap...i am waiting for the day when internet price wars start.
