This email dropped into my inbox today:

"We have made significant progress towards the British American IPO. The listing is still in process and a lot of work is being done to ensure that we get the necessary approvals from the Capital Markets Authority. The listing of British-American will be within the next 3- 12 weeks and will give an opportunity to Kenyans, to share in the success of the company. The IPO will be open for approximately three weeks only......"
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

2011 will be a bad year for insurance stocks...only the strong will make it...reason: rising interest rates, low retirns from the equity market and high inflation( people will cancel or delay taking insurance cover)...i have seen this personally when the going gets tough the first thing people remove from their salary slips is Insurance.

am really anxious to see how these IPOS slated for june july will fare.We are heading into a period in the market thats very sluggish as foreigners take to their three month vacation on the other hand we have locals who have refused to take hold of the market.add on to that we have a pending election...Laughing out loudly
An oversubscription in these ipos will be a blessing from the most High...
