Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

He's the Uchimi's CEO. Lets just say shareholders rewarded him by retaining him..

2012 wrote:Personally I would have relaunched next week or on Thursday and not today. Reason is tomorrows holiday will reduce the momentum while they would have been able to build on it after baba Jimmy rings the bell. Anyway let's wait for it at 7/- next week and don't forget Britak IPO is end June and people will want to reserve some cash. They still will reduce the momentum... the downward momentum... it is already -13.45% GAIN according to Wazua figures!

I am hoping my small holding got sold. After being trapped here for the longest time ever, I hope this thing dips to 5 - 7/- levels to get me interested again. $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Phew!!! 5 years was a long wait. Na bado siuzi. I'll give Ciano another 2 years and then review. Had already written it off anyway.
I think Ciano has big dreams for this company and i trust him however he combines the numbers.

To be honest, it would not interest me even at 7/-. Currently there are more interesting fish in the ocean where I think I can get more value than in the Great value I'd get here. BBI will solve it :)

I still think this re-listing is a PR exercise to woo in good strategic investors I av read Nation'smart company pull out and thats proof enough. look at how they describe ciano. Quote:HE was not a newcomer in retail. He had turned around companies like KPLC and Kenol Kobil. Quote:In 1990,he was sent to the Caribbean to spearhead the turnaround of shell companies Actually the all pull out is full of accolades that hides the fact that the company is afloat because of our money[taxpayers money]. The demand for the shares are quite high so the possibility for the share rising are high but as a long term investor I will wait for the full year result before I plunge in. '......to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.' Colossians 2:2-3

Let me end there Layman, couldnt agree with you more. Whenever I shop there, I have to go and wash my hands immediately because of the visible dirt. Although I must give them credit for the fresh vegetables, I could never shop anywhere else for fresh veges. Their price tags are almost always not correct. I hope they improve soon. All the same, I have no intention in buying the stock, I'll be a bystander for a while, just watching..

I guess the end year results are what will determine its actual market value, as thats what will guide some of the institutional investors. In the meantime, we old shareholders take advantage of our long term scrutiny of the company (and so better understand current fundamentals) to stock up on the cheap shares. Today i was on the buying side - picked up a number at average of 11shs.. Will remain on the buying side, as long as it is below 20shs.

What i found suprising was that demand was much much more than supply. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself
