if the current heavy trading of equity bank is coming to a close a very nice floor will be provided for the stock and we all know what such floors do to a stock..indeed the share is poised to go up..

... he is presenting mixed reactions in the Equity market. He was not among the the top 10 shareholders in year 2010 so I guest his shareholding must be less than 1.6%. Any idea on his exact holding?

Are you talking about Equity Bank?
If so, I thought he is affiliated with Helios which owns almost a quarter of Equity

@youcan'tstopusnow, true, Helios hold a quarter of Equity Bank shares

Word has it that Soros Fund have been taking their profit in Equity Bank Shares in the recent past. What could be the stake of Soros Fund in Equity Bank? Ama their shareholding is only through Helios which would make Helios a bone of contention

I don't think Helio's is selling but the action is from the top 10...it would be interesting to see the top 10 shareholders this year...uhmm Helio's is up 100% on their investment in EQTY...they bought at Ksh 122 before the 10 for every 1 held split www.allafrica.com/stories/200711140993.html

invest0r, I think these guys had a 5 year lock-in period (not sure). Thus, by late next year they will be free to offload their shareholding. But will they?
