PM Raila Odinga says he spent Sh. 136,000 per day in his US trip, not Sh 600,000 as claimed by MP Kutuny. .....citizen TV!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

.....citizen TV!!!! And this is supposed to be better? That comes close to 1m in a week! In contrast the IDP's are spending like 100 for the family in a day.. God forgive us. ....above all, to stand.

Tinga is more energetic than Kibaki and can stand back to back foreign trips. Its neither easy nor fun being in the air all the time, its more of a sacrifice. While I agree of the cost being high, we must appreciate that he does not do this unilaterally. Dont blindly join people who whine at Raila this, Raila that. Jomo Kenyatta hardily made any foreign trips cause of phobia for flying, Moi represented the government in most foreign engagements. That does not mean that Kenyatta was modest and Moi extravagant. Go back to the government in 2003 and see how many trips Mike (Kijana Wamalwa) made before his death. How about Awori?
Let us be more objective than just supporting Kutuny. @Luttz, for me the issue is not who spent how much when. It is a matter of righting the wrong. It is wrong for him to be spending so much in a day. There needs to be some guidelines. Most companies have guidelines as to how much can be spent per day depending on ones level. The Govt has the same for several levels. They just need to put it to every level. ....above all, to stand.

Even government has guidelines....and this trip might just have fallen under such financial considerations....despite it being a shameful amount to spend (hata kama you have the money)...
