...the issue is not raila or melon or whoever, we are addressing the reckless usage of our scarce resources,,,however it tells alot when the person enjoying the excessive luxuries keeps mum,,,

If it is any consolation, the 15-Trillion-Dollar-GDP US President regularly stays at the $7000 Waldorf Astoria Presidential Suite.

What was Kenya's GDP again? Per capita or otherwise.

Compare:

A.

Waldorf Presidential Suite Living Room and Bedroom

B.

Kibera ($7000 could do quite a lot here)

It is morally wrong for PM to burn that kind of money the way he did.

Kibaki also has a duty to restrict him on such matters.

Of course Raila is a study in hypocrisy and double speak.

All said and done, with 2012 increasingly presenting some very un-interesting prospects,reckons,- he may as well enjoys some of these trapings albeit in Mkate nusu capacity.

Some of these arguments againist Raila are too simplistic..True the room is expensive, but he is presidential standard also...Are there other cheaper presidential standard alternatives??that should be the question.and it should be directed to those who do the booking..I'm not a Raila fan but the bashing is irritating!!

2. Tell us...what were the returns, other than bills and a silly man called Antoine Hey, the country received from Mr Raila's two week trip to the USA and subsequent visit to France? random trip to Germany? his visit to Zimbabwe to open an MDC Congress?? etc!

3. What is the job of the acting Foreign Affairs Minister he supervises???
