Ronaldo has just become the highest scorer in a single season in the history of La Liga after scoring a brace on the last day of the season to take his tally to 40! Hats off to the lad. That's truly monumental! Give respect where it's due.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

... At least he has justified his ksh 24 million per week pay...Adebayor played so well (3 goals in this game)today i hope the coach will retain him

Totally agree with you @magigi on both issues.

Even when he is not scoring, Ronaldo contributes to the team in more ways than one. Adebayor was playing for that permanent move today and he might just have got it!

Hopefully Real Madrid had included an "option to buy" clause and the exact amount in their agreement with Man City otherwise the asking price will be raised drastically.

IMHO, at the moment, there is only one team Ronaldo can go [back] to. Having said that, I don't think he is going anywhere for a couple of reasons:

1) He is a boyhood fan of Real Madrid. He's currently living his fantasy.

2) He is more at home in Spain that he would ever be in any other country outside Portugal.

3) He hasn't won any major trophy with Real Madrid. If he leaves now, his time there would be seen as a failure. He'd definitely want to win the La Liga or the CL before leaving - if ever.

4) The Real Madrid supremo value CR more than Mourinho and if circumstances force them to get rid of one of them, there is no doubt who'd be let go.

If there was no messi, he would be considered the best.

He's already overtaken Messi in this season goal scoring charts in all competitions. CR7 has 53, while Messi 52. He has achieved a Pichichi record that Messi will have to emulate. How about that for a rivalry.

@Jus Blazin - Lets hope Messi's goal tally stays at 52 for the season. If you what I mean!
