Kenya is based on the European Nation state model. Kenya is a nation state created by Britain. Britain itself is a failed state - a feudal kingdom ruled by a few. Mtoto wa nyoka ni nyoka - so we are bound to be a failed state just like the mother country.

The U.S. which is the spawn of Britain and the successor to the British Empire is itself failed, where the majority participate in elections which are just a farce / show to cheat Americans that they are represented. After all despite a new government and president - Obama continues with Bush policies. Is that a genuine change of government,or is it the Illuminati toying around with American minds??

The U.S. itself is built on the bones of the real owners of America the Red Indians, hence it is the foremost failed state.

The man he thinks he can,and the one who thinks he can't are both right. Which one are you?

Ok wote;

you've made your point; and you are indeed more exposed than I am and have a broader perspective of issues than my limited experience.

As far as being loyal to this country KENYA is concerned; I feel nothing about other nations because, like I said earlier, none of those countries have fed me to maturity as I am today,KENYA has. I have eaten of the sweat of Kenyan people; I have prospered and continue to prosper on KENYAN soil.

Of course KENYA is a member of the International Community for obvious reasons, but that does not make the international community or nations superior to my motherland so that today I begin to despise my country and have nothing to do with it.

From the way you share on this forum,I can tell you really are not happy about Kenya as it is now,and that I can understand. But it does no good on your part to think Kenya is helplessly failing or has failed.

My question to you is,could you just say one thing that shows you have a genuine concern to see constructive change in our Nation? Get off the fence and join the fray.

each day is a gift from God; I dont know if I will be here tomorrow; should I be,I'll make the most of it for God's glory; should I be not, pick up and keep the legacy

@Mkristo i have probably given my country more than it will ever give me back,so lets quit the patrotic song and face realities.

And the realities are very simple,at Independence we had very strong institutions which to me are the pillars of a Nation/statehood.This institutions have continued to rot over a period of 40 years and there is very little we have done correct the situation.

Ordinary Kenyans do not need so much for their taxes, all the demand are life's basic necessities such as roads, water, electricity, security, decent housing e.tc i highly doubt if our government has meet any of the above.

The general and Mtu Biz,why would one have house say in Nairobi, pay city hall rates for services delivary and then hire a private company to provide the same services that were paid for?

why would a country's capital after 40 years of independence not even have an urban Transport system?.

Why would a Government concession a rail line that is more than a hundred years old?,knowing very well that its actually more beneficial to its citizens if a new railline was built in the first place.

Singapore is a very small island that imports drinking water but taps never run dry even a single day.

the list is endless but i will choose end here and sign off on this subject matters and let you guys dream the impossible dream.

Whats saddens me is the knowledge that many Kenyans will be born, grow up and die without seeing any big changes. Most of the roads we are building right now are the same roads we had in good shape in 1978.

We recycling old leaders, their sons and daughters of old presidents, vice presidents and chiefs and are not seeking any new progress.

@ Finje; United States is different, close to 750 000 Kenyans live there with incomes higher than US national average. There is no comparison with Kenya Obama is giving around 60 Billion dollars to poor countries. These people are compassionate too. The UK and US even gives us military help,Offers more donor support organizations like the UN and World Bank. Have explored the universe even visited the moon and Mars achievements for all mankind.

We are just struggling in getting water into our homes,Our greatest achievements are stealing monies from our only working systems to return ourselves to dust. I am just tired of the pettiness of Some Kenyan minds,of leaders who believes that corruption cannot be solved,of Atwoli and the other clowns.

The US is the beacon of hope for the world; a typical 16 year old will have car, ipod, all the typical things you would consider for Rich people in Kenya. every house would have a fridge, flat screen Tv,like 2 or 3 laptops,Microwave, and hot water for shower. Most roads are tarmacked, unemployed get monthly financial assistance, inform of subsidized housing etc.

Kenyans embrace bulls*** from RAO and Kibaki because they do not know the difference...
