@ m'black

my theory...

theory no 1

3za arives home shortly after wanjiru has gone to bed with intention to kill him...most likely she had conspired with the house guard to call her when wanjiru arrives home...or 3za had been trailing wanjiru from say somewhere like igwamiti township (about 8km from nyahururu town...it is highly unlikely that wanjiru used nakuru-olkalou-nyahururu or nakuru-gilgil-nyahururu routes)...in nyahururu town she waits elsewhere until the guard calls to notify her of wanjiru's arrival...

she moves fast into the house and clobbers the unaware wanjiru who dies instantly...she calls the watchman to help her throw the body from the balcony of the first floor onto the ground floor...once done she leaves and locks the bedroom, coaches the watchman on what to say and leaves the foolish watchman guarding the corpse and the empty house.

theory no 2..

3za arrives in nyahururu a couple of hours before dusk with hired killers...she goes alone to the house and gives the watchman lots of money to go and treat himself including fonicating if capable with clear instructions that he waits until wanjiru and her are at home...and that when wanjiru arrives she be notified by non other than the watchman...when wanjiru arrives the watchman makes the call to 3za who arrives a couple of minutes later..when the watchman is gone 3za goes out to pick the killers whom she gets into wanjirus bedroom and clobbers the poor boy till he is dead...

the killers lift the body and throw it to the ground floor from the first floor balcony...3za calls the watchman later just before she locks the bedroom and the house...when the watchman comes he is coached on what to say without really knowing what was going on...3za leaves the watchman guarding the corpse and the empty house...

theory no 3

3za arrives in nyahururu a couple of hours before dusk with hired killers...she goes alone to the house and gives the watchman lots of money to go and treat himself including fonicating if capable with clear instructions that he comes back before midnight...the watchman happily leaves and 3za goes out and picks the killers...she lets them into wanjiru's bedroom where the waiting begins...

eventually wanjiru arrives and goes straight to bed unaware of the waiting merchants of death...the thugs do their thing throws the body to the ground floor from the first floor balcony...the thugs leave first and 3za waits for the watchman to come back...when the watchman comes back he is coached on what to say and 3za leaves the compound leaving the foolish watchman guarding the corpse and the empty house....

those are my theories and if i were an investigator my investigations would be centred around these theories eliminating them one by one as i collect more and more information and evidence.....
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

What I found very wierd is the police insisting that 3za is THE wife of Mr Wanjiru. Now what business is it for the police to determine who is someones wife? Iko kitu hapa.

The truth will be known, sooner than we think. Wapi DPP aanze kazi.

I guess its coz Wanjiru was a policeman (didn't know this till he died). Could be that their records show Triza as the wife.

Not sure current police force can solve the mystery. They talk soo much and do sooo little. Unless the family pays for the truth to be unearthed. I stand to be collected.
Lord, thank you!

@ elder and 2012,

Just try to look beyond what you see. You might understand what this fellow Kaiganjo is talking about.

I also have a feeling that Wanjiru was murdered and thrown to the ground floor through the first floor balcony to justify suicide.

The key to unlocking the murder mystery is triza njeri and the house guard. they know alot that they are not telling us. Actually they should be the first suspects and behind bars!

@Segemia I am trying to look beyond what I can see that is why I asked if there is something the OP knew which we have not come across from the press. The OP`s made statements that implied that he/she might have some information that we don`t. That is all I wanted to find out more so given that the information that we are getting from the press and internet seem to be changing with each passing moment.

@Kaigangio I have just seen your post with the information that I was requesting for. I believe it is okay to have theories but not to treat them as absolute fact unless supported by evidence.

To your theories I add mine.

Theory No. 4

Triza Njeri is in a relationship with Wanjiru who abuses her and cheats on her. He is even documented with threatening her. Despite all these she loves him (and yes it is possible maybe coz of the money or inspite of the money but it is possible) or like a good number of abused women in marriages she cannot walk out of it mostly because of monetary security for herself and her children. The thought of killing him does not cross her mind or is not considered because she is not a killer or common sense tells her that Wanjiru stands to contribute more to her and her children over a long period of time as he makes more money in his trade.

So she misses her husband and as she says she lies to make him go home to her. Then she gets involved in a fight with the second woman whom she finds in her bedroom, locks the door and tries to go the police to report the assault on her etc. In the meantime her husband in trying to gain egress from the bedroom from the balcony falls down and die. Or is killed by persons unknown.

Then as she mourns the death of someone she cares for and whose two children she now has to bring up by herself people start saying that she murdered her husband.

One of the burdens of being a woman especially in Kenya is that if your partner dies under unclear circumstances you always have to contend with both the pain of the loss of your partner and accusations of murder.

As the circumstances of this case is not clear theories shall be churned from all over. I just pray for strength for those who loved him and have to contend with all these. And for his young children who would never get to know the love of a father.

Haki wacheni kuonea Triza. I know that expressing oneself in English is hard especially our police officers (and preachers). The police who said 'suicide' probably does not even know the meaning of that word. For all intents maybe to him it is the opposite of 'murder', who knows?

Is it possible that Wanjiru did not commit suicide but neither was he murdered?

What if in his wisdom and efforts of scaling the wall to reach where ever he wanted to go (for example the ground) he lost grip and fell and landed in a manner that did most damage hence his death?

This idea that she killed her husband is being peddled by a bitter mother in law. Whatever she is bitter about should be addressed in other fora.

We have a Bure Kabisa police force!!!

As an investigator, you are supposed to pay thorough attention to things that seem off.

1) Wanjiru brought a chips funga home - Is it [generally] a "normal" thing for a Kenyan man to take chips funga home? Was Wanjiru in the habit of taking chips fungas home?

2) Wanjiru committed suicide by jumping from a first floor balcony - Do people normally commit suicide by jumping from first floor balconies?

3) Wanjiru's wife came home after midnight - Is it normal for a Kenyan wife to go home at that hour? Did Wanjiru's wife normally go home at that hour?

4) Body was found by relatives later - Is it normal in a compound with a watchman and probably other domestic workers? If the wife locked the room and walked down stairs and Wanjiru jumped, how possible is it that she made it out of the house and the compound without noticing his husband had jumped to his death?

e.t.c.

A team of investigators who can't see such red flags have no business being investigators or even police officers!!!

@Maich... spot on!! Applause Applause

Any investigator worth his salt starts his starts with the presumption of foul play in this case murder until all evidence reveal otherwise.

The first thing should have been: lock in the watchie, and all accessories who were in the house. By so doing, the investigators get their different accounts separately and effectively isolate them from conspiring "a story".

Secondly, secure the house and all its contents (ati pple were wrestling for documents) after the mortuary trip. This way all critical pieces of papers including receipts, bank cards etc can give crucial leads.

Thirdly, announce to all that the initial suspicion is murder and the primary suspects include all pple last seen with the deceased.

Lastly the forensics: the postmortem report will be critical in revealing the most important information. The jury is still out there.

I am now almost sure Triza Njeri killed Wanjiru.

Wanjiru was supposed to be in training camp the day he died. Why was he not there? The wife LIED to his coach that she was sick and wanted her husband close to her, so that the Olympic champion could get permission to travel home on Sunday. What's more, she agrees that she LIED in order to get Wanjiru home but its because they were finalizing plans for dowry payment in August. August!!! Which is three months away and yet was to be in training only for this month! What was the hurry for? And coincidentally he dies the same day he got home after the wife lied to get him there?

Wanjiru Must Have Been Murdered By Triza Njeri
