Diversify in your stock picks, but wisely. You will be surprised that some of your picks will return wonders. I made over 200% in Kakuzi last year and 100% in CFC and theyb were not even my main stocks.

Hi Guys,

Thanx alot for the encouraging feedback that you've given me. I am already feeling like i ought to have discovered this Stocks Forum ages ago..

I am not very green with "other non-stocks" investments and i have the basic foundation of doing business; i still trust my radar for sniffing a good shilling and i have started feeling the fire in my belly.

I have already opened a CDS account and deposited some quid today. I have read old posts here and a lot of print materials allover. My palms are sweating and i am eager to place my bet now after considering my objectives.

1. Long-term - 4yrs & Over -

EQUITY,KCB,KPLC,CO-OP

2. Medium Term - Btwn 2yrs and 4 yrs-

CENTUM,HFCK,CABLES

3. Short-term - Btwn 1 yr and 2 yrs-

KENOL,TOTAL,MUMIAS,K-RE

4. Rapid response - speculative/trading/During the year-

SAFARICOM, ACCESS,( Can't rule out EQUITY,KCB,CO-OP )

Guys, does this sound sensible so far ?

For long term you surely need an Agha Khan counter (either NMG, TPS, Jubilee, DTB). These guys are the best in management and in creating wealth for shareholders. They can also be deefensive in bad times.

I agree with you. DTB & JUBILEE have very good potential for robust growth; NMG to me looks lazy and may be a good Yogurt dice if not for its Raw Milk !

@jw lol nmg may look slow but moves alright. Bought in in '09 at average 125. With a price appreciation to 185, 1 for 10 bonus and dividends i got no complains

@ycsun i got out last nov btwn 280-290. Was a sweet ride from 129-135. At 290 i felt the share was fairly priced and upside limited. I will be on the lookout for re-entry.

i'm wary of a company that distributes all its earnings.that shows that they see less need for re-investment.not a company for young investors with years ahead of them.
