The most thought-provoking statistic is the death of KTN.

Would the figures be any different if the digital TV project gets on line? Personally I don't watch some stations because the reception is so bad at my place. If the whole country had access to digital clear pictures.....

I personally don't think its due to reception.I get very good reception and I hardly watch.I'm hooked on DVDs.
The death of KTN came about when they refused to go into local productions. They kept competing in a war they couldn't win with 50sh DVDs for akina 24,Alias,CSI,Cold Case etc instead of going local.Citizen went local around the same time...and you cannot get Papa Shirandula or Tahidi on DVD.
Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.

Wazua does not represent reality on the ground.

I find the reasoning in wazua fundamentally different from that of the ordinary Kenyan.

When I said killing em I didnt mean literary, gosh!

Citizen has the most stupid reporters I have ever seen how do you play with a bomb and then report you escaped narrowly with your lives.

for those who did not see yesterdays news some reporters went to a homestead to report of some unexploded explosives in their compound, they found the guys playing and some shaking them, some were even suggesting they make cattle bell with them..

Instead of the reporters warning them of the danger they joined them, even posing for camera with them and playing with the dangerous arsenal. it was until the army came and detonated them that the reporters came to their senses as to the extent they had let their foolish curiosity take them to the jaws of their death..

KTN failed to read the signs.Once DVD za 50/= came into the market their programs were a matter of time b4 pple overtook them.

They need to restrategize by either going local or sourcing for new programs that are not on DVD.But I think they can be quite a hit if they became a news channel with well produced documentaries.

People still value their News and if they were to invest heavily into this segment they can never go wrong its a pity most of the broadcasting channels in africa rely on western agencies for news happening in africa xinhua a chinese agency is taking over the world why not KTN.
