CMA should have given a slightly more detailed explanation than they gave at the bottom of page 35 of the Nation to avoid confusion. You can bet that most investors do not know the difference between investment bank and stockbroker licences.

As usual barking with little substance.@navara,go to their offices and let your fears rest,on the way there, pop into the CMA offices you will be better informed than reading from lunatics.

Taking advice from @QW is like drinking from empty bottles of beer. Empty kabisa!

I am sure CMA are very good at communications and if there is some wrongdoing by any stockbroker, they will clearly indicate that they have revoked AAK's licence until they satisfy certain conditions..bla..bla..

The market regulator has also put Equatorial Investment
Bank on conditional licence, and revoked the trading
permit of Africa Alliance Kenya Securities, and Africa
Alliance Kenya Management. Trading licences for two
investment advisers (Equilibrium Capital and Finconsult)
and an authorised Depository institution —Dubai Bank
Kenya— have also been cancelled.
In a gazette Notice No 4937, the Authority
reduced Africa Investment Bank,
Drummond Investment Bank, Kestrel
capital (EA), Apex Africa Investment Bank,
and Sterling Investment Bank to
stockbrokers.

Today's daily nation pg 28 it clearly says that African alliance successfully applied for an investment bank license and they got it so there is no need of them having a brokerage and fund management license which are separate as the investment bank license caters for everything...THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH AFRICAN ALLIANCE MANAGEMENT LIMITED.
