@bugatti talk to me nicely. You can buy by proxy through me....though it will be purely on trust and if I get shot here in Darfur then the next of keen will laugh all the way to the bank. Anyway if U really need them I can buy for U tho terms and condition apply.

@Underweight= i have have been advised to buy through proxy but still the lawyers told me transfer of the same cannot be effected by Family bank Company Secretary.The lawyers told me its only on trust that you can buy ie through your wife or a very closely trusted person ambaye hawezi kukurusha.Really if anybody can help here i will be the greatest person.The guy i have dealing with on follow ups in Family Bank is Mr Danson

@bugatti...am willing to be that trusted person but my terms is that before listing I earn all the dividends and U get the bonuses incase I issue out any. If interested then give me your email add. Am seeing an opportunity here!

@bugatti. i am currently a shareholder of family banks but i bought them way back durin the initial private placement. i cannot exactly tell you how it is done now, but all i can tell you is that all i did was go to the counter with the cash for purchasing the shares. then i opened an account there and then, and went ahead to do the purchase.
therefore, i guess you can go and open a quick account there and enquire where to purchase shares.

@jessi. I luv the song "jessi...jessieee, ee-jessica mama"
I missed the private placement of 2006. The condition was that you open an account to qualify. The minimum was shares worth 30k(500 shares of 60/= each). It's no longer that easy. It became even harder with the entry of a strategic spouse! who owns about 25% of FB. How much dividends were declared for 2009?

@accomplished. I think not yet unless someone has insider info.

Last time I inquired about Family Bank shares, I was told they are only trading among the existing shareholders. Has the situation changed?

Thanks, I will contact Kanyiri.

I think the prospects are good, I am home in Western Kenya and the bank is quite popular here. There should be some value realization when it lists, we may not expect equity sort of stellar growth though.
