Beautiful and elegant, the wife of Dr Kizza Besigye, Winnie Byanyima, is rumored to have been President Museveni's girlfriend during their bush war.is it because of this?

Bollocks! Ugandans need Besigye as much as they need a dose of dysentery...

M7 brought the country very far and can still take it even further. His methods might be brute but they are effective. I sometimes lean towards dictatorships and away from too liberal a government and democracy especially where too many interests can detract a country from progress...

See how we wasted billions in the constitutional review process under yash pal ghai? What for? to be more consultative and to pander to every ones whims? Next we will legalise homosexuality in the same spirit of being a democratic and open society...or accept that raping is a disease as much as alcoholism is....NO... we cannot be overly democratic and always uphold the rule of law. Ask Obama...

Bollocks I say. Kizza may have grievances after losing the elections but fomenting civil unrest and riding on issues that are not much withing the government's control is really so base!

Having said that - I do not think he should have been subjected to public humiliation and so much pain (mace, tear gas, clobbering, etc)....

You only need visit Kampala/Jinja/Mbarara on Friday and Saturday nights to see that Ugandans are WAY more affluent than Kenyans.
