our Kenyan transportation model is failing and simply not sustainable. instead of expecting the govt to do something-which it wont- its up to us kenyans to realise the folly of our ways.
1st - RVR
has done a good service to all the embakassi residents by adding 2 frequencies to & from town.
2nd - for those of us who cant/wont use rail transport/public transport, we need to realise:
i) "1 car 1 driver policy" we've being using is totally Ridiculous and long term unsustainable
- i chose afew months ago to car pool with a work mate and this has reduced my fuel consumption by almost 1/2
ii) "mines bigger" ego approach of buying cars, and the bigger the cc the better has and will continue to land most of us into troubled financial waters and we need to sober up. - was recently in an european country and was rather amazed at the number of hybrids and smart cars. ridiculing vitz/ist's is therefore rather silly.
