That video is crazy!! That girl child in yellow needs serious counselling if not all the ones who were cheering on the side.
But looking at the topic...I thought you were adressing what we normally do in Kenya...you have a bash for your child, but then half the budget goes to buy mzingaz for your friends....the little bboy/girl's part is only at the cake cutting, then usiku ni kuinamisha chupa mpaka che...

@everlasting, you don't have to post the video, on youtube, search for "small kids dancing dirty"

OMG just watched the video....Jesus take the wheel....

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

Someone's son.
Someone's daughter.
Are these children being brought up or are they just growing up?

Pity. I'm sure the parents are working hard to ensure their children have the "best". (whatever that is)

My heart goes out to those children and especialy to the girl!!! What hasn't she seen in her few years?
This should teach us that whenever we drop our children off to a party, we MUST know who is at the party, know which adult is in charge and decide if you agree with what is going on or not.....
These days i do not just drop off my children to a classmate's birthday bash. I have to know whose house it is and if i don't agree with what they do, i either stay on and watch over the children or get a better plot for them and 'pass by' the bash at some point when it is clear we have little time to spend smile

I know i will need a new tactic when they are in their pre-teen & teen years but for now, i am being quite intentional in knowing where they go.. I have also found that linking up with like minded parents being very helpful.

@Guka & Wendz, na wale wengine wa NYS, how did you manage this? These days there is serious madness going on in people's homes! I was once told of a home where the parents smoked weed openly (and not like the wazua one, real weed..)
....above all, to stand.
