Saturday. Doing 150kph. I nearly landed a Dmax in a ditch! Speed kills. Rem, at high speeds, braking efficiency is severely compromised. Great care when cruising on wet tarmac. I flinch at the sight of young masters zooming away in wet conditions. Many are oblivious to a condition called AQUAPLANING.

must have been hell. Heaven ni narrow road...
On a serious note, Thimioni, maintain the highway limit. Let's use the lessons learnt by others. Wengine hawajabahatika coz they died in the process of overspeeding.

The reasoning behind that is this: if the pedestrian is alive, any subsequent pains he will experience in the body, you will have to foot the medical bill, even if it has nothing to do with the injuries. The police say, pedestrians will always claim that their subsequent injuries are as a result of the accident. And you will end up spending a lifetime, and a fortune on medical expenses.

Most of what we see on our roads are not accidents, they are suicides and genocides.carelessness , overspeeding is the main cause of these suicides /genocides.
I always see a moving car as a moving coffin in our roads.
Kenyans are good at breaking the law.

when you enter a car in Kenyan road, there is a high chance that you will not come out of it alive.

They say "showing off" is the main cause of RTAs...e.g. hands on the window, ma3s competing, drivers rtying to outdo each other on the road

Simon, the confession above confirms what the greatest problem on our roads is. You think it's okay to do 150kph (ostensibly because you believe you are experienced and its not okay for "younger" drivers to do the same).

I remember once being driven at speeds of 120kph by a driver who was using a certain road for the first time. Prior use or none, the winding nature and narrow width of the road was enough reason for any rational mortal to cruise at sub 80kph. I told the guy to slow dowm and all he said was "Relax man, I'm in control". Five minutes later, I saw a pack of bumps..and then a pothole on our lane. This guy didn't see but my instincts told me not to warn him because of the panic I would have caused. There was loud screeching...and then a swerve to avoid the pothole. The oncoming land cruiser's driver only choice was to swerve off the road to avoid mangling the paper-like toyota we were in.

Sadly, there are too many of these "confident" drivers on our roads, yet they die everyday, killing and maiming others in the process.

The combination of mutumba "toyotas" and the Class E driving licence is somewhat worse than HIV if you think about it.

He flinches at the young masters yet a few days ago he was doing 150kph.@Simo, if you are doing 150, what will stop that young master from doing 160?
