And on that note, at 32.00 kq is just too attractive. No one knows the future, whether it will go to 24,00. But the fact is its at 32.00. I was not very moved at 35.00, but this is just too juicy The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

TN promised more info in April...with oil on the rampage i think the best investment decision i have made this year was to dump KQ at 42 bob..locking in my 10% loss.

Yeah, sold some small holding at 43.The bulk still held, awaiting some 'magic'!!But can't TN and team see that that Rights Issue will surely fail? Was talking to some fund manager and yes.....no intention to touch it whatsoever.

@Pierce the fund manager you were talking too, does he know their hedging positions? i cant wait for the 4Q Passenger numbers it would be easy to estimate year end results based on those.

A rights price above 25bob is not attractive to me. "Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."

Expensive oil will eat into the profitability in Q4. Also the impending rights issue does not support bullishness on this counter. I'd rather wait for the rights details to become clear and the CEO's statement on the outlook of 2011 - 2012 on results announcement... When this stock finally rebounds, I expect it to reclaim the 60/- levels. $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

@Hisah very true but KQ hedges are at US$90 per Barrel Here is an abstract from my blog post Good news for KQ shareholders at least one of the pieces in the puzzle is out of the way. With them hedging at US$ 90/barrel that was a good move and it gives little hope that the end year financial statements might be better but note that the Cash Flow Hedges were -1.286B Ksh during the first half of the financial year when oil was trading below $90/barrel . The other pieces of the puzzle remain 1. We need more information on the capital raising exercise 2. More convicing passenger numbers I expect the share price to remain depressed as the investors try to factor in the two issues Entire article here feel free to comment http://contrarianinvesti...at-us90-per-barrel.html

todays kq volumes were very high, with 3m shares worth over 100m, i wonder who is buying and what this means. i think this looks enticing at this price for speculation Don't wait for the Last Judgment. It happens every day. ~Albert Camus, The Fall, 1956

Most investors are still waiting for more info on the financing structure

At one point the supply was 0 with low bids of demand, this is how a looming rights issue can hold a share at ransom.the faster they bring their plan, the better for the share.4now we are tied. "Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."
