By the way qw's you've been conspicuously quite on forex matters even with the current turmoil of the kshs. Iko swida? About a.k my heart goes out to you.

if you are in sameer...RUN! a profit of 24M from a turnover of 3.3 B is a joke. then the negative cashflows of 260M. the balance sheet is clean with net assets of over 2B and no long term liabilities. This is a business that should be liquidated and proceeds paid to shareholders, otherwise they will just be eating into the company's capital and will not be able to generate cash for capital machinery replacement/upgrade.

I concur. The outlook is NOT good. AK have lost corporate subscribers to SCOM and Zuku. Fibre lies idle and unlit. The home segment is proving unresponsive to their retail strategy (better get an Orange 3G device for 1999 and pay as you go rather than fork out so much to AK).

Nope...unless another player in the existing market looks to get listed by acquiring AK (like how it happened with CFC Stanbic - pardon my ignorance in such matters). I'd personally like to see Zuku engulf AK (I think they are abt 15 times bigger and can see farthest on the technology horizon).

My two meticals...

@mlennyma - Maybe you might be saved by this KDN drama... Very lucky indeed.
