I have not seen any of this with KK. But I could be wrong! You could be right but at the price it's currently trading at (9.4), I don't see it reducing further after even better than average results. I think they should give us a dividend of 60cents and nothing less. BBI will solve it :)

I would be happy with 40 cts in light of the company's expansion plans, although I expect 35 cts.

KK definitely took a hit when the war with KPC + KPRL ratcheted up in 2H 2010 but in 2011 we can see that KK was right. Look at NOCK scams. MoE is fully behind NOCK in this matter. Corruption at the top. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Yeah, it would take corporate activities ala, car n general, cables, pan africa. To move anything in this market downturn. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Don't forget that the reason the OMCs are protesting the NOCK move is coz the fuel was loaded in Feb [& should have been delivered in Feb] whose price has been set already by ERC... GOK shot itself in the leg by regulating prices...with prices the same who will fuel at NOCK and how is NOCK suppose to achieve its mandate of selling cheap fuel.

The management strongly belives that business visibility for 1st half 2011 F.Y, indicates a double digit growth in net profit for the 1st half 2011, compared to same period of 2010. PAT 1st half 2010 was 1.18b.

When even oil marketers forget their core business and dive blindly into property development, you most definatly know we are in a housing bubble. I hope wen it burst it wount be to hard on kk.

I must say I'm quite worried about the diversification plans. Never lose sight of your core business. If you can't be the best in your core business, we are in trouble. But I'll give JS the benefit of doubt, this is a glitch that will be resolved once the elections are over and we have real professionals running MoE. and subsequently the parastatals under it.
