BTW, Michael Somen, will NOT be presenting himself for re-election as a Director. It seems that enough pressure has been brought to bear on the family to reduce their presence on the board.

And, just one small matter...

Water will be provided to those attending the AGM. You need not take your own..Applause .

So where is the AGM this year? The other year it was at the arboretum, last year it was at the Museum, will we finally go to Mukuru Kwa Njenga this year?

I am amazed we still discuss this stock after it fell below IPO price. Any chance of a bounce-back, change of strategy, kicking out the somen brothers, buy-out/takeover...nothing.

That's why i keep off agric and technology stocks never too sure when the bubble will burst.

There is always hope. The GM was recently interviewed on NTV PM Live and he gave a hint of some changes in the offing - but to me it sounded more of the BS that Matu of OCH has been spewing for years. I think you need to be extremely risk tolerant to buy this share before you get a good hint on 2011 H1 results. If Safcom is feeling so much heat, Access must be burning. But then there is always Loliondo ....

Yaani i hold this share too and i bought them at the highest price of Kshs 33 i usually look at my portfolio everyday and say when i was young i was stupid to have bought this shares and i move on by the way Selah and Kula Raha those are brilliant ideas.

Synergia, have no fear. It is the Somens who are in investors' crosshairs not the other way round. They must be quaking in their boots. I can assure you, If I still held AK, I would be heading for the AGM with some very nasty thoughts on my mind and more...

Incidentally, they sold a big chunk of their shares a while back. Crafty b****s.

was writing a long story, you put it so much better...

I think I'll settle for the paper loss (and tissue substitute like Kularaha). My paper losses serve as good expensive lessons on how not to buy stocks.

I only earnestly started INVESTING, and i do stress, INVESTING, this year, and my first stock purchase was a flop. but one thing ave learnt (may be thats what sets the likes of SM apart) is that you can never double dip in the market. sooner or soonest the market will catch up on you, and you will be served. Just apply ile hesabu ya statistics ( i would advise these e-books; The portfolio theory and Strategic financial management 1&2 available on bookboon.com) do you homework and apply what you get wisely. Experimentation will yeild experience. And most importanly- a loose tongue is a sign of hastey mind, so take time and make the best unregrettable decision you come up with alot of conviction. As for Acck, being a telecommunications engineer in the making, i can say that their system is bad ass. iko tops. am talking about zero down time and minimal redundancy. but they need to stream it down to us the customers. they should start with universities as students like to associate themselves with brands and most likely continue using even in future. All the best.
