YES! Loss of Kshs 7,951,000, EPS (Loss) of 0.04 and Turnover down by 17.5%. NOT A PRETTY PICTURE notwithstanding the brave picture they have been trying to present!

This Access....surely they dont have the strategic brainpower to understand that people are desperate for connectivity...but will not pay the price they ask??

You've hit the nail on the head. That plus Kenyans have perfected the 'wait the price will come down' system.

BBI will solve it

I understand they have like 3000 connections they screw and bleed with crazy pricing and crappy customer service. Surely even my 10 year old knows its better to have 30,000 customers at 1/10th the price...more stability.

Let them go under...

KulaRaha - you are right on the money. About 2 years ago, I wanted a connection to my residence and they quoted more than 40,000 shillings including setup and equipment costs. I told them to go to h**l.

Lo! kweli sad, even their new site has done away with financial reports section. Profit decline over 30%.

Trying to find report but can't get full schedule of results. With a dividend of 0.30 perhaps dividend ratio may appeal to some?

How can they pay dividend when they made nothing? Or are majority shareholders still bleeding the company dry at the expense of us retail investors?

Item no. 4 on the Agenda for the AGM due on 16th June 2011:

"To note that the Directors do NOT recommend the declaration of a final dividend for the Financial Year ending 31 December 2010."

BTW, Michael Somen, will NOT be presenting himself for re-election as a Director. It seems that enough pressure has been brought to bear on the family to reduce their presence on the board.

And, just one small matter...

Water will be provided to those attending the AGM. You need not take your own..Applause .

@Cde.YCS.. Buy what? LOL! NIC share-holders should also go for the water coz AK might close with their chums!! Kes.2B+ loss is a big deal to a mid-level bank like NIC.
