You can imagine the chaos this country would be turned into if Atwoli's suggestion that guards be given guns is implemented. It would be total mayhem everywhere.

this is a seriuos tragedy and bearing in mind what type of country we live in its sad a young promising life has been lost a lot of pain and grief to the parents yet there is the point of class also sometimes our young people are very arrogant especially to the illiterate or maybe semiliterate and poorly paid gaurds but they should find a better way of venting their stress someone must be held to account BUT THEN [b][b]SHOULD SOMEONE NOT BE HELD TO ACCOUNT FOR THE DEATHS ON OUR ROADS SOME OF THEM AS I JUST EXPERIENCED LAST FRIDAY ARE OUTRIGHT MURDER JUST LIKE THIS ONE.

and because of this,no security guards should be allowed to carry guns as in TZ and UG,the way Atwoli wanted.

If these people had a gun,we could be reading of many deaths that day not only Omondi who died.

there was a case last week where we lost a young man who had sneaked in to girls hostels at KU, spent his last glorious moment with his girlfriend, on the way out of the hostels, he met the askaris, run back to the room and upon missing a place to hide, he decided to hang on the window frame..the rest is history...makes me wonder..are the askaris that bad at beating or whatever they do that the guy found it safer to hang on a window frame?..3rd floor kwanza! aihhhh... same case here, pole sana kwa wazaziPray

It seems that most of us have rested the case on the guards but still i would want to know what you would do if someone entered your house through the window at 3 am and claimed he is a student trying to access ututho and the only way is through your house. One thing if you have a guard and he lets this happen he loses his job PAP.

@Freiks, kindly go through "Elder's" post. We are talking about a 21 years old young man. Did you pass through college? if you did, do you want to tell us that you were a saint, and that you never did something that you now find to be stupid? On the same note, no one is claiming that you should not react when someone intrudes into your house-our concern is the level of force applied to the victim and the negligence that followed. Why did'nt the guards allow the kid to be taken to hospital?

@Elder, you are truely an elder.

And as expected the campus students are out in Westi rioting. They seem to have overpowered the police and I'm wondering why they were not prepared while this was obviously gonna happen

BBI will solve it
