what is the exact location in Embakasi, where this company 'owns' Land .Somebody please get me the direction , was looking for a plot in Embakasi near the AP training school along the bypass.Niogope?

This Land actually starts there. I guess part of this area is on Embakasi Ranching but there is a section that is not. Now, the clean block 105 could be touching this place but I am not sure. But there is a catch, If you are dealing with block 105, accept only what has a title. Titles for this section were given many years ago. If it has no title, run, it could be a utility plot which was allocated which has become impossible to get a title.

Is the tamarind project in Embakasi also in the disputed land?

@user,

Now, Embakasi Ranching had their own farm which was to be allocated to their shareholders, I have never had of Tamarind but I can guess it is not part of this. I say this because, Embakasi Ranching never sold large acres of land to anyone for subdivision. They divided their own farm into 1/4 acre plots.

So hold your breath,if the gvt of the day will be merciful,you will have to buy your plot afresh or loose it,the highiest posibility is being kicked out given the scarcity of gvt land within nairobi for expansion.

There is always dispute among members of Embakasi Ranching especially due to double allocation, members who have never taken possession, absentee members etc.
However, I know several people who have lease hold titles, some got them as late as last week.
So, take the story of this being Gok land with a pinch of salt. politics always ratchet up in this area when an AGM is around the corner.

@Wendz,

Thanks for the information. Now I know. Now looking at the map, I think the estate is just next to Embakasi Ranching but it is good for people to conduct a due diligence before they commit.

@majimaji,

You are right. Though things are bad at Embakasi, the issue may have come up especially now that the AGM is tomorrow. So, politics is also in play. Yes, there are some people who were given lease titles years ago and some even received the title last week...I guess someone pushed a button somewhere and especially as we near the AGM.

Now, do you know anyone who has a lease title to block 136. I know not, even one.

The problem is that Embakasi Ranching has always been lead by politicians. Now, there will be even more tragedy if politicians who want to be elected Directors, like the former mayor, do become Directors of the Company.

buying land in nairobi n specifically eastlands is always a risk any investor will have to take. most deals have politics behind them n if u get cold feet n decide to follow the due process in acquiring that small piece of land n hope 2 get a good deal, then eastlands is nt th place 2 do that.
i hav several small plots in Ruai, Njiru n Siaka n hav developed some with cheap rental houses. i have been able to recoup the small amts i have invested n if smthin similar 2 th embakasi ranch ws 2 happen, i wouldnt shed a tear

If you have bought land in Embakasi Ranching, there is a big scandal in the Business Daily today section of the Nation, indicating Embakasi ranching land is actually government land. Not sure whether its true, but read. Try the link below

@ALL

There was an AGM today for the ranch. Some clarifications were made on the actual location of the government land. Most of the land past the ruai township does not belong to the government.

When will the titles be issued as per Uhunyes directives?
I think they are waiting for the original buyers to die..all of them.

Were the issues of double (multiple) allocation to the same plot addressed? Is there a risk that some members may not get title deeds?

No,Supposedly ongoing and Yes.It's pure mathogothanio depending on who is handling your case.
Several hyenas there waiting to pounce on land which was stolen from original owners and illegaly allocated to new buyers.
The new buyers are not lucky either as that is the clean up they want everyone to believe is taking place till you are informed that 'map ilipotea'oh sijui somebody didn't sign after survey,oh there are new maps..
You grow old and leave your childern to start the cycle all over. That is the story.
Very depressing seeing old people making several trips without any hope,some from as a far as Nakuru.
