"How much do I pay in American dollars?" they may ask puzzled pump attendants and taxi drivers...

NKT!!!

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

To be fair to diasporans, this currency issue is understandable. Getting your mind around transacting in a currency that is different from what you are used to takes some adjustment.

All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.

I gree but come on! whhy ask about dollars,if you are back home,it is always easier to transact in Kshs.....anyday!

Things that make me laugh everytime i am flying back home esp. after boarding the connection flight to nrb.

1. Extra tight clothes( mind you they advice you against tight clothes while travelling) and very very tight jeans with a chain hanging on the right side Laughing out loudly
2. Exaggerated bling, yellow eye lashes, layers and layers of make-up ( never mind it will all get smudged by the time the journey is over)Sad
3. boots ( even in august)
3. big colourful handbags
4.Most kids have dolls, even the ones who should have outgrown dolls

Then the food comes and there is free alcohol. ......you know what follows

Kenyans be natural,be yourself and no,it is not cool to pretend you have forgotten your mother tongue.! :)

Thats soo true...I experienced this once .Having had crazy flight connections,I was only too happy to finally board KQ in Cairo for Nbi.And guess what..I happily greeted the KQ attendants(two ladies) in Swahili but they simply shrugged and ignored my greetings.I found it rather strange...

Hope is not a strategy
