You topped up with 100bob and your balance reads 150bob. With 150bob you can talk for 50mins because a call to yu or another network costs 3bob. Basically you get 50mins to any network with your 100bob, where is the ripoff?

Even if you are billed 1.50/ for 30secs (3/ per min), the 100bob you gave to the shopkeeper will enable you talk for 50mins translating to 2bob per min instead of the normal 33.3mins

I find this very technical..and thats not good for the customer. Why not make it simple as Airtel. 3 bob per minute to other networks and 1 bob per min to Airtel.. No much calculations here. The seconds thing has hidden agenda in it. www.propertyzote.com the ultimate ‘one stop online shop’ of choice connecting more people with more properties at the click of a button

Murenj, I "hear" you. I have had the same observation. The problem with Yu is that they ALSO do not respond to balance enquiries on their *131# line. Hence, it is difficult to verify if indeed, you have a balance of 148.50 after your 1.50 call.

when you dial *131# to check your balance, you will see your main balance and bonus balance. Assuming you had zero balance then topped up with 100bob, your main balance will be 100bob and your bonus balance will be 50bob. Once you start making calls, your 50bob bonus is the one that gets consumed first
