Sijui. Harsh operating environment, expansion drive still on (to the point of saying a new revenue focus is “non-fuel revenue”). I’m expecting they’ll give me peni mbili kama safaricom. Ngoja tuambiwe.

1/- div is ambitious considering KK is expanding across Africa. Look at recent purchases in Burundi & Uganda.

It trades at 10/- so even 25cents = 2.5% is OK but I think closer to 40cents = 4%

Since they were considering an interim div in the first half, I think btwn 50-60cts will be in order.

BBI will solve it

@Qw i'm buying into KK cos the future looks bright for the stock i had an opportunity to see the company far away from Nairobi...far away from MOE, KPRL and KPC madness...somewhere down South...with Zimbabwe and Mozambique on the horizon...Botswana,Namibia, Malawi and perhaps South Africa in a few years...this are verry lucritive markets my friend and Kenya will only contribute a drop to KK's billions by then.smile smile smile

@qw, are you serious? You only buy in a bull market? That's not a sound strategy.

Some of the great deals I have made in the Nse was during the bear run of the the credit crunch. The shares that I have held the longest I bought during a bull run (When I didn't know better)

Last year they announced on 8 April. I expect them to do the same round about the same date.

Now KK is offering Ksh.2 discount in their stations...they have posted a big poster @the pump stations.

Talk of taking advantage of increase in fuel prices to attract customers.

Now it seems KK is calling the shots in the fuel business.

lucky them. must have bought stock low, but i wonder how useful that offer is compared to just milking the advantage. And what is a discount? considering that the fuel charges only has a maximum charge, no minimum.

They would have made their margins on this February stock at 98. With the price now at 102, they stand to make a clear 2/- when they give a "2 bob" discount. Who is shafting who?

KK rocks! Not sure why they are giving the discount but they will disrupt sales at all the other stations!!!

So whether you hate 'em or love 'em... Off to KK for discounted petrol!
