I pray that this never happens in Kenya.. with our buildings falling all by themselves without the aid of a quake.. May God truly spare us.

Praying for the people of Japan.

pic is scary when you start looking at stuff not in isolation, but when trying 2 connect the dots...China also had a huge 7-sth richter scale quake, New Zealand n Australia recently had quakes...drastic changes in weather patterns in the world esp polar regions, never before has the West had snow as deep as 6ft as witnessed coupla months back, even in Nyahururu we had snow the other day - kwanza 2 times, fater a loud bang! And thousands of birds in the U.S. just fell of the sky, pap! due to something affecting their sense of direction finders (like a gyroscope)...they are saying there's new planet X that 'just appeared' n there will be a major but unknown cosmic event next year.
Major revolutions like what's cutting in Arab land was foretold by the Mayans, Incas, Africans and Indians yet they lived all thousands of years apart in space n time and culture but were all agreed sth will happen next year. man, that shiet about 2012...

I read somewhere that Kenya is the least prone country to natural disasters in the world [citation needed]

@Njunge, i was looking at the videos and i have to say let's hope we never ever experience this in Kenya coz most of the country will likely turn to rubble considering the non enforcement of building code laws.

Very very true. That is the price we pay for impunity...people use this word casually but it is the root cause of most problems afflicting our beloved country.

Compare Haiti's 7.0 earthquake with the hundreds of thousands of fatalities and Japan's 8.9 earthquake+tsunami with less than ten thousand fatalities. If a 7.0 were to hit close to Nairobi, many flats would completely collapse. If it happens at night, the death toll would be huge. For now, prayer is all we got.
