I believe KQ will post growth even if minimal in PAT come June 2011 but i will only make a come back in 20's....minimal risk at those levels.

How full/empty was your Lusaka-Nairobi flight? [BTW, why were you flying to Windhoek via Lusaka?] Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

BTW, KQ is offering Nairobi-Mombasa/Malindi/Kisumu flights at 7,500 [Return all-taxes inclusive]. At this rate, I do not see how the other airlines will compete! Of course, KQ is pushing this to fill the planes. The marginal cost of an additional passenger is 1 beer + 1 sandwich + some additional weight! BTW, I understand KQ will introduce a special 3,000/- fare one-way! Almost as cheap as going by bus! Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Lusaka flights sometimes go via Harare... They will get busy in Summer so direct Lusaka flights which saves an hour or so... Greedy when others are fearful. KQ is headed for 30. I think margin trading is quite in order now.

Even with all my reservations on a possible rights issue, rising oil prices, fuel and currency hedges, delays in aircraft deliveries, rising staff unrest and expected wage settlements, at 30 all that will have been priced in, or not so?!!!!

My thoughts also. I have losses elsewhere but this play may just cover them.

It is showing up as a great bargain on my spreadsheet, 37% less than my average purchase price. So is Mumias, at 43% below my average purchase price. I will load up on it since I'm quite heavy on industrials (Mumias, KK and Total)

As it is, it is a good BUY. As for MSC, well, I just loaded on some today but this is part of my speculative purchases. When it gets to 6, I will be buying it to KEEP!

I have a feeling it all depends when gaddafi leaves... He has managed to stay on which makes investors nervous [will the use of force keep dictators in power] but if he is forced to leave then there is a feeling of 'we can'... Britain & France seem keen to kick him out like yesterday and are just seeking ways of legitimizing any drastic action.

Well, I would rather gaddafi goes but the lousy/useless african union is supporting gaddafi's dictatorship as well as his murder of libyans using planes & tanks. Greedy when others are fearful. Outlook Downgraded to $8.6 Billion - High Oil Price Cuts Airline Profits by Almost 50% http://ht.ly/46dBx
African carriers grew by 14.3% year-on-year and passenger traffic levels are now around 28% higher compared to the previous peak reached in early 2008. However, this market has a relatively small impact as it represents about 3% of the total traffic. African load factor grew slightly to 68.7%, the lowest of any region. http://ht.ly/44IkW

KQ has too many dark clouds hanging over it, for me to buy. you never know with KQ. the current price, i never thought we'd see, still trying to grasp that. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

KQ is planing to do a rights issue ( reliable sources) . hence the massive offloading of shares by investors...a rights issue will be the most convenient way for the company to raise cash to its expansion....so i am sitting out of this stock... Your future depends on your dreams so go to sleep !

Incase of a rights issue, the only way to sweeten it is to get it underwritten and offer at 25bob "Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."

Technically ( since some of you just want to BUY BUY BUY BUY ) without knowing where the price is headed in the name of bargain hunting 34.00 price level is very significant level for KQ a break of this level will bring back 20.00 .... i expect to see some price stagnation at 34.00 level (34.00 was a 52 week Intra Day low on 9th March This Year) before we head for 20.00's .... Your future depends on your dreams so go to sleep !
