Well said, I think KCB and KPLC should do. KCB should do well in its expansions programs, KPLC has to supply energy for Vision 2030. Good prospects, other factors constant.

Add Kengen (investments on MW expansion expected to pay off). Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

I buy under valued stocks and if they become overvalued 1 month after purchase, i sell. Life is short. Live passionately.

i also think that 10yrs is a long time, there would have been so many bulls and bears, why not try sparklys method, it also happens to be mine, and the good thing is that u r in not hurry and u can ride full cycles. In 10 years, I will consider KPLC, KenGen, ARM and KPLC. Any company that will leverage on infrastructure development in the region; South Sudan and Kenya. MSC will do well if they do well in the Tana project. I will add my favourite OTC company, CiC

I also feel 10yrs is such a long period. Private placements and OTCs not bad. You can also in for high dividends payers and hope for capital gains as well. @Fyatu; How much do you intend to put in? The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

which got me thinking about our local market in the long term.....I would like to know the history of record bull runs in the NSE with the aim of finding out if one (massive bull run) is anticipated in the next ten years... Dumb money becomes dumb only when it listens to smart money

Good Luck!!

@slimboss, private placements are offered to a select section of clientel who meet a basic criteria. An example is the recent CIC private placement to saccos and their members. Another one was by Family Bank (in 2006 I think) to account holders. These are good examples with a high probability of having an IPO in the near future. Coop bank followed a similar route and those who were in b4 the ipo are now 20 times(excluding dividends) richer. Once you are in, OTC trading among shareholders is possible. The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.
