You must have 10m

I live in South C, at Akiba near the mosque and can confirm that like mlennyma says, you will need more than Kshs 10m to get a house like that there! I bought my house at Kshs 6.5m three years ago from an Asian who was leaving the country after his alien passport was revoked.

My neighbour is a walalo from Somalia. Hers is one three the family has in the estate. They are offering one of them for sale at Kshs 11m. A few weeks ago she sent some 'investor' to offer me Kshs 12m to sell my house and vacate immediately! When I said no, they offered Kshs 14.5m! I had to tell them I wouldn't sell for any money, but I wonder what I would have said had they offered Kshs 20m!

Don't be too sure that the Walalos won't come back with an offer close to your thinking.I have a buddy who had a place here.They started at 10M,12,14 and then 17 a couple months down the line.He finally inquired if they would offer 20M after consulting missus.They had bought the place at 1.8M and 20M would have been a very good return.The next thing they know is the Walalos wanting to know a most convenient mode of payment.
