since most of the post have thousands of comments you should have a tool that checks if a certain reply has been made-a comment governor of sort-I hate to give a comment that a previous user had made and look stupid.

Can't work, and again tantamount to censorship.
However please remove the quote facility - makes threads unnecessarily long especially when you are using a mobile platform.

I love the quote facility. very useful on long threads since you dont force people to start from post #1 to find out what you're responding to

Selah’s concern is posting something that has already been posted: to prevent this, read what other people are saying. Which is good practice even in ordinary conversation. You seek to hear, then be heard. You cant jump into a discussion / conversation assuming that no one else could possibly have said what you want to say.

The quote facility is useful when responding directly to someone’s comments since the reader (not poster) is not forced to scroll down to clarify what the other person had posted.
